This is the home of the Kuan Yin Temple Oracle Book project. This area of Feng Shui Shopper is dedicated to Kuan Yin and it is here that you will find many items related to the Goddess.
Known as the goddess of compassion, Kuan Yin (also spelled Kwan Yin or Quan Yin) is one of the most popular deities in Asia. Roughly translated, her name means "the one who hears the cries of the world." The representation of Kuan Yin can be found in many Taoist and Buddhist temples. She is a bodhisattva, a person who has the right to leave this world of suffering and go to heaven but instead has chosen to stay on Earth to help others reach enlightenment. She is the patron saint of farmers, fishermen, care, and women - especially during childbirth. She's also known to help bring children to barren women. There are many different representations and poses of Kuan Yin. She can be white robed, dressed in gold, holding a lotus, or holding a vase. Her presence in a home or office brings a calming, soothing influence to all.
